Neva

AS.NEV02-2

The wavy guilloché of the dial and the small curved second hand, which bears the shape of the letter “N”, thus refer to the name of the watch as well as to the splendor of the city. The silver-colored hands and the silver-colored large number “60” thereby provide a nice contrast to the warm color image.

INSPIRATION

Magnificent and simple, warm and energetic: the new NEVA by Alexander Shorokhoff.

Inspired by the mighty and most watery European river Neva, which flows through Saint Petersburg, is also the next successor of the new NEVA series.
Here, Alexander Shorokhov focused more on the magnificent, historic city center, Saint Petersburg, with 2300 palaces, magnificent buildings and castles since 1991 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site under the collective term Historic Centre of Saint Petersburg and Related Groups of Monuments registered.

Alexander Shorokhov is particularly fond of the Amber Room, which is a state room whose walls are covered with amber, gold and mirror elements. Tsarina Elizabeth had it installed in 1741 in the Winter Palace in Saint Petersburg and finally in 1755 in the Catherine Palace in Tsarskoye Selo (Tsar’s Village). Amber refers to a clear to opaque yellow gemstone made of fossil resin that has been known and used for thousands of years. But amber can do much more: it is also known to possess a special energy. It is protective, cheerful, warm and positive. It can even help drive away negative feelings.
So wearing the new warm variant of the new NEVA reminds you of all these positive emotions and aspects of life. The warm light yellow and brownish hue makes it look like the Amber Room, very pompous and powerful, on the other hand the warm colors come across very natural and simple. Everything is harmoniously matched with each other.

The wavy guilloché of the dial and the small curved second hand, which bears the shape of the letter “N”, referring to the name of the watch and the magnificence of the city, remains as in previous models. In this case, the stainless steel case, silver-colored hands and silver-colored large number “60” give a nice contrast to the warm color image. It is completed with a dark brown calfskin strap with light decorative stitching.

For the movement, the Russian caliber 3105.Poljot is used, which is derived from the Swiss Valjoux caliber 7734, but without chronograph function. The movement is completely overhauled, re-oiled, adjusted and tested at the “Alexander Shorokhoff” watch manufacture. The bridges, as always with “Alexander Shorokhoff” brand watches, are hand-engraved or cloud-cut, and the screws are polished and blued. This beauty can be viewed through the sapphire crystal bath. These movements are no longer reproduced today. However, the “Alexander Shorokhoff” watch manufactory has secured a limited quantity and produces this series in a small limited number.
